Our client is a nationally recognized mortgage banking company associated with one of the top super regional banks in the nation. They are seeking a Government Underwriter, who has retail experience, knows FHA and VA products inside and out, and can offer creative solutions for lending opportunities while ensuring that loans are saleable to the intended investor. Our client specializes in government loans.

Job requirements:
• A minimum of 3-5 years government underwriting experience;
• Must have FHA and VA product knowledge;
• Must have Direct Endorsement (DE) Certification;
• A strong understanding of associated mortgage technology;
• Must have proven experience in working between sales and operations;
• Ability to perform effectively and consistently in a fast-paced retail lending environment;
• Good problem solving skills and knows how to determine effective solutions;
• Excellent communication skills and knows how to determine effective solutions
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
