Web Developer (PHP focused)

Job description:
We are looking for an unshakeable developer to embrace a fast-paced environment with a large variety of interesting projects. Candidates must have exceptional development skills and a proven ability to bring concepts to life. Individual is responsible for executing and improving creative concepts and will be exposed to a diverse range of clients and projects. We’re looking for a truly diverse developer who thrives in a collaborative environment. A love of open source is helpful, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities 
-Responsible for the conceptualization and development of interactive solutions from concept to completion
-Able to design or understand designers ideas and execute against (and improve) those designs
-Able to create functional sites with clean code
-Demonstrate high standards of workmanship, attention to detail and adherence to industry standards

Job requirements:
Experience/Required Skills
-Highly skilled at executing projects
-Proficiency in XHTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL
-Able to bring a design from an image layout to XHTML/CSS using tableless design
-Experience with diverse content types – static, dynamic, rich-media, etc.
-An awareness of current trends in web site development and the tools necessary to build interactive projects.
-Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility with broad-based knowledge of Internet best practices
-Ability to take direction
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent organizational skills  

Optional Skills
JavaScript and or AJAX application knowledge is a plus. XML knowledge
