Job description:
-Plan, design, configure and maintain MySQL databases on Linux servers for both production and development.
-Perform data modeling and schema design.
-Optimize database performance and scalability. Track down and troubleshoot performance issues.
-Advise engineers on performance tuning, query optimization, index tuning.
-Create and modify MySQL stored procedures, functions and triggers.
-Automate failover and recovery, backup scripting and disaster recovery planning.
-Monitor infrastructure to ensure stability and 99.999% available operation.
-Provide assistance to development/design teams to help integrate data persistence seamlessly.

Job requirements:
-5+ years developing and maintaining MySQL databases in high availability production environments.
-Experience working with Oracle databases.
-Familiarity with Linux.
-MySQL/Oracle certification(s)
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
