Operations Engineer

Job description:
We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Operations Engineer. This individual will provide direct support for testing, analysis, research and application deployments. The individual will also work closely with Software Engineering and Quality Assurance. They will also perform tasks and responsibilities within Management Information Services. The ideal candidate must have solid communication skills, be a team player, goal oriented, resourceful, and a self starter.

Job requirements:
The qualified candidates must:
-Possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent
-Have 2 to 4 years experience with Unix or Linux based systems
-Have 1 to 2 years experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments
-Have at least 2 years experience with Red Hat Linux, Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, JBoss or equivalent applications
-Have solid understanding of server architectures, operating systems and application resource utilization -Have solid understanding of system design and design theory
-Have prior experience in a deployment or operations role
-Have experience in C, Java, Perl, HTML or equivalent programming languages
-Have worked in a fast paced, results oriented environment
-Be able to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task.
-Be systematic, thorough and organized.
