Job description:Emptoris, the leader in supply management and contract management software, seeks a Marketing Programs Manager to continue to fuel Emptoris’ explosive growth. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day aspects of marketing communications, marketing programs and lead generation, including executing web-based lead generation campaigns, developing content for the website and marketing programs, and supporting field events.
Key Result Areas / Success Criteria:
A successful Marketing Programs Manager at Emptoris will:
- Drive lead generation efforts via interactive, field event and direct marketing channels.
- Develop compelling and consistent marketing messages and copy to support company branding, lead generation and customer/prospect awareness efforts
- Execute cost-effective, multi-channel demand generation programs.
- Produce large volumes of high-quality leads for multiple solutions (spend analysis, sourcing, contract management, compliance, supplier performance management) across multiple industries and geographies while operating under a constrained budget .
- Measure campaign and program effectiveness and continually improve the ROI of our marketing efforts.
- Effectively collaborate with a broad, geographically dispersed team from product marketing, inside sales, and PR to support programs.
Responsibilities:
- Support execution of outbound awareness and demand creation programs, including webcasts, quarterly newsletters, targeted email blasts and regional field events, etc. Work with inside and field sales team to ensure consistent messaging, follow-up activities and program measurement.
- Develop compelling messaging and write copy for marketing programs, website and collateral.
- Design and fulfill email marketing campaigns including list fulfillment and database management.
- Manage all deliverables to produce thought leadership webcasts. Develop timelines, coordinate deliverables with marketing partners, and work with analysts, customers, and Emptoris speakers to produce content.
- Execute field events program, including event research, pre- and post-follow up activities, onsite booth management and sales activities, speaking opportunities, advertising and logistics.
- Manage search engine pay-per-click program to optimize awareness and lead capture.
- Investigate and initiate online and print advertising programs.
- Collaborate with product marketing, PR, creative services, product management, alliances, and sales to ensure that marketing projects are effectively executed according to plan.
- Make recommendations on cost-effective new awareness and lead generation avenues including online/search marketing, channel marketing, affiliate programs, alternative media, email marketing, and speaking opportunities.
- Manage multiple vendor projects, including analyst relations firms, list vendors, print vendors, etc.
- Run weekly and quarterly marketing lead analysis reports via Salesforce.com
- Collaborate with sales team to create various reports and dashboards for monthly and quarterly territory snapshots.
- Minimum 3 -5 years professional marketing communications and/or programs experience at an enterprise application software company.
- Experience managing demand generation programs such as field events, webcasts, and syndicated content.
- Knowledge of multi-channel demand generation strategies and tactics.
- Knowledge of search engine marketing and pay-per-click advertising programs.
- Proven ability to work well with inside sales and drive post-lead follow up.
- Experience writing content for websites, email offers, and speaking abstracts.
- Top-notch project planning and time management skills—demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to find ways to generate leads through new channels and new markets.
- Familiarity with sales and marketing automation solutions such as Salesforce.com and Eloqua.
- Prior experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, contract management, or ERP is highly desirable.
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or Journalism preferred
