SALES MANAGER

Salary: 105K – 130K BASE; 30K in additional bonus compensation

Job description:
Take the ownership in managing the Tier 1 Account to steadily grow the revenue and market share.
-- Meet/Exceed annual Revenue quota with the objective of exceeding revenue objectives
-- Meet /Exceed quarterly and annual design win objectives.
-- Develop and execute major account sales plan.
-- Drive all aspects of customer satisfaction:
-- Effectively work with multiple levels within the account to drive initiatives and design wins
-- Ensure account team delivers timely specification reviews and quotations.
-- Timely resolution of delivery and quality issues.
-- Identify and drive new product/revenue opportunities within the Account
-- Drive closure on agreements on pricing and non-standard terms.
-- Facilitate escalations within the customer organization and within as required to support the Account
-- Drive alignment of their road map with our business units.
-- Timely and accurate reporting of sales information:
-- Communicate Account product support requirements to Senior Management and appropriate Business Units personnel to develop new revenue opportunities as well as support current business and products.
-- Timely submission of all sales and expense reports
-- Monthly Forecasting & Gap Analysis Reporting
-- Update quarterly account/business plan
-This position will require travel within the territory and may require additional travel for trade shows and seminars
-- Manage all phases of sales cycle.
-- Support Marketing in assessing market, product and competitive information.
-- Perform as customer advocate within.
-- Identify and resolve customer issues which impact revenue.

Job requirements:
1) BS Engineering or Physics
2.) MBA preferred
3) 8+ years technical sales experience with direct and distribution accounts.
4) 2 + years sales management experience.
5) Stellar relational selling skills and history of demonstrated success
6) Excellent presentation, time management, and prioritization skills.
7) Established relationship with customer base in the assigned territory preferred.
8) Excellent computer skills.
9) Proven ability to overcome objections.
10) Successful experience in working within multiple management levels within the Account's organization and developing personnel relationships with key managers to drive new business and resolve problems
11) High level of motivation and will to succeed

Desired Skills:
1) Telecommunications or data Communications market and network applications for broadband networks
2) Knowledge of fiber optics or the optical networking industry
