Claims Processor I

Job description:
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is the largest
health care insurer in the Mid-Atlantic region. Every day, we help people make decisions that positively impact their daily lives today and into the future.

This position will examine claims to identify key elements and processing requirements based on diagnosis, provider, paykey, medical policy,contracts, policies and procedures. Candidates will calculate deductibles and maximums, as well as
research and resolve system pends.

Job requirements:

• Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma plus demonstrated work experience.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, data entry/PC, stress management, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Claims processing, billing or medical terminology experience is preferred.
