Project Manager

Job description:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to create and maintain project plans, communications logs, issue and risk logs, project budgets and forecasts, scope documents, cost-benefit proposals (in collaboration with finance), and requirements documents as necessary.
  • Coordinates all project tasks and activities. This includes delegating tasks to functional department team members as well as assisting with task completion whenever necessary to ensure that a project remains on track.
  • Able to understand and work with technology to apply how technology solutions can facilitate business processes.
  • Develops and executes cost effective plans that meet business and stakeholder needs.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Document and communicate alternatives, issues, and risks to facilitate sound, informed, management decision making on project direction.
  • Manages projects by applying process, but with flexibility to ensure that projects are done as quickly as possible, but still meeting business needs.
  • Formulates and defines project scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Mentor more junior project managers and business analysts
  • Facilitate and communicate all key milestones and decisions during the feasibility, design, and development stages of a new product or process change to all levels of the organization.
  • Continually review project specifications to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Develop business case and pro forma P&L’s.
  • Manage the project plan from feasibility to implementation, manage test market pilots, and develop post pilot recommendations.
  • Fosters positive working relationships with other departments to ensure project success and continuity.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of business and project management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management processes and up-to-date technologies
  • Proven expertise in resource, cost, and scope management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize projects, assignments, work of others and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong influencing skills, including the ability to ensure that team members complete their required tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to recognize areas for process improvement and propose creative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships and strong rapport with all levels of internal and external clientele.
  • Strong sense of accountability to produce high quality results
  • Ability to gather information and quickly assimilate into task analysis and planning
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and changing demands with diplomacy and decorum
